CliftonStrengths Coaching & Team Development

High-performing organisations recognise that people perform best when they understand how they naturally contribute. CliftonStrengths provides a structured way for individuals and teams to identify their talents and apply them more effectively in their work.

Through individual coaching and team workshops, CliftonStrengths helps organisations strengthen leadership, improve collaboration, and develop a shared language for performance and development.

What is CliftonStrengths?

CliftonStrengths is a strengths-based development framework created by Gallup. The assessment identifies 34 talent themes that represent an individual’s natural patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving.

Rather than focusing primarily on weaknesses, CliftonStrengths helps individuals understand what they do best and how to apply those talents intentionally in their roles.

Organisations that adopt strengths-based development often see improvements in:

  • employee engagement

  • leadership effectiveness

  • team collaboration

  • productivity and performance

The 34 talent themes are organised into four leadership domains, each describing how individuals contribute to team success.

The Four CliftonStrengths Domains

CliftonStrengths 1:1 Coaching

Individual coaching provides a structured opportunity to explore how an individual’s strengths influence their work, leadership style, and professional development.

Sessions focus on translating CliftonStrengths insights into practical application.

Typical coaching topics include:

  • interpreting the individual’s Top 5 CliftonStrengths themes

  • understanding how strengths influence decision-making and behaviour

  • recognising potential blind spots or overused talents

  • applying strengths to leadership, communication, and work challenges

  • developing strategies to use strengths more intentionally

Coaching sessions are typically 60–90 minutes and can be conducted in person or virtually.

Team Workshops

Half-Day CliftonStrengths Workshop

A half-day workshop introduces teams to strengths-based development and provides a foundation for understanding how individual talents contribute to team effectiveness.

Typical outcomes include:

  • understanding the CliftonStrengths framework and the four domains

  • exploring each team member’s Top 5 strengths

  • identifying complementary strengths within the team

  • improving communication and collaboration

This format is well suited for team offsites, leadership groups, and newly formed teams.

Full-Day CliftonStrengths Workshop

A full-day workshop provides deeper exploration of team dynamics and how strengths influence performance, leadership, and collaboration.

The workshop typically includes:

  • detailed review of team strengths profiles

  • exploration of partnership and collaboration patterns

  • discussion of common sources of misunderstanding or conflict

  • strategies for leveraging strengths across the team

  • development of a team action plan

This format is often used for leadership teams, strategy sessions, and organisational development initiatives.
